Minnesota

This summer, I went to Minnesota with Rachel for a week to go fishing, tubing, and just spend time with her family. It was super fun getting to know all of her relatives and friends. And it was the first time I have ever been fishing, which was an experience itself.

See, at the lake we were at, there are docks that you can go bobber fishing off of in the morning or at night to catch little fish. And we did that most of the time because we're not old enough to take the boat out by ourselves. So we're fishing off the dock at the very end of the resort thing, and Rachel feels a tug on her line and starts reeling it in. We realize that she has a fish, but not just a little fish, its kind of a medium size. Neither of us know how to take the fish off the hook, well maybe we do but it's really disgusting and gross so we don't really want to do it. Rachel is freaking out because the fish swallowed the hook and there is absolutely nobody around because it's late at night. So I ran all the way up to our cabin and got Rachel's parents to come down while she is down at the dock with a fish on her line that is flopping all over the place. They finally arrive and take the fish off the hook and, it was dead. We didn't really know what else to do so we just threw it back into the water to see if it would swim, but, it didn't.Later that night I caught a fish about the same size as Rachel's was. It was the first one that I've ever caught! A couple days later, her dad took us out in the boat to go fishing and I got a bite on my line. I started reeling it in, but it was really heavy and then I saw a really big fish on my hook. I was freaking out because I've never caught a fish on a boat before so I did not know what I was doing. I tried to pull the fish up out of the water, but I didn't keep the tip of the rod up so the fish got loose and we never saw it again. I was really disappointed because I wanted to catch that fish! But oh well.

I guess what I'm trying to say in this blog is, know what your doing before you start it because it could turn out bad for you.

That's all for now my fellow bloggers.
